Beyond creating offers
Your assistant can also:- Look up what you’re running. “What discounts are live right now?” — and then explain any of them in detail, which is usually what answers “why isn’t this applying at checkout?”
- Change existing discounts. “Raise the free shipping threshold to $75.” It reads the current setup and patches just that field.
- Report performance. “How much did the BOGO make in June?” — orders, revenue, margin given away, average order value, and a chart series.
- Schedule promotions. Dates are part of a discount, so a seasonal sale can be built now and dated for later.
- Answer setup questions. Stacking, widgets, POS behaviour, troubleshooting — it searches these docs.
What it can’t build
- Discount codes. AIOD’s tools cover automatic discounts only. Codes, and anything you made directly in Shopify or with another app, are invisible to it.
- Anything live. It can create discounts in test mode, but only you can switch one on.
- Deletions. It can’t remove a discount.
- Upsell widgets. That template has to be set up by hand.
How a promotion gets built
Whatever you ask for, the same thing happens under the hood:- Find the discount, if you’re changing an existing one.
- Read AIOD’s rules — the templates and field shapes.
- Read the current setup, if you’re changing something.
- Draft it — validated and cart-simulated, then staged. You get a link.
- Create it, only if you asked. Real Shopify discount, test mode.
